As a Senior National Account Manager within our team you will be calling on retailers that require our products to be sold to the end consumer. With a defined set of existing accounts your responsibility will be to grow your own book of business and obtain market share. As we continuously convert new business on a daily basis additional accounts will be allocated to your responsibility allowing continuous growth and revenue generating potential.
Position Summary
Reporting to the National Sales Manager your primary function is to achieve sales growth with your assigned base of business as well as drive new business acquisition with key account prospects.
Growth of existing business will require presenting and educating your current customers with our ever-expanding product selection establishing cross-selling opportunities while driving fulfillment and replenishment of existing products/business. You are expected to be professional and enthusiastic in your aggressive pursuit of our customer’s satisfaction. The Senior National Account Manager will be given the best opportunity to succeed working in a team environment with the necessary tools and support to succeed.
New business development will be done through a systematic hunting and development process. Each National Account Manager has his/her own prospects that are allocated to their responsibility. Prospects will vary in size, sales channel focus and stage of the selling process. Each potential customer must be managed effectively and aggressively showing progress within the decision making process for eminent closure!
Our company rewards success generously. In addition to an attractive base salary you will be eligible for sales commissions and growth bonuses. The successful candidate is projected to earn well above their base salary.
Daily Responsibilities include:
· Manage existing accounts and meeting sales growth objectives
· Research and identify target prospects within assigned prospect portfolio
· Reach out to prospect companies identifying relevant decision makers to blueprint the organization
· Make contact and build relationships with decisions makers
· Identify and size sales opportunities
· Identify customer needs to develop recommendations for product, pricing and services that meet those needs
· Present and deliver proposals with a strong bias toward gaining commitment
· Tireless follow-up to achieve desired outcome
· Travel when required (25-35%)
· Work a select few tradeshows during week/weekends throughout the year
· Growth of sales and generate new business!
Guidelines include:
· Adhere to price policies to meet revenue and profitability goals determined by leadership
· Enter all account updates into CRM within 24 hours of customer contact
· Debrief supervisor on account growth successes, challenges, market and competitive intelligence and key status items.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
· Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university
· Minimum of 5+ years of outside B2B sales experience
· Proven track record with documented closure of business
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Understanding of strategic sales process within complex decision making hierarchies
· Ability to forecast a complex business profile with varying customer/prospect types
· Ability to prioritize customer potential and identify closing opportunities
· Competitive nature and goal oriented
· Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high energy environment
