Full description of the position

Blue Star Gas (BSG), an 85 yr. old propane, equipment, and appliance company, has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Power Division and Appliance Sales Executive/Installer to help grow the Blue Star Power Generation (BSPG) business in the Phoenix, Ariz. area. Our ideal candidate will manage all stages of the sales process and assist with installations. The successful candidate will be expected to exceed customer expectations and company growth targets. At BSPG you will be part of a progressive team that offers innovative products to power the home and business. The Power Division will focus on continued growth of Kohler generator sales and other power-related technologies. Appliance offerings will include Rinnai water and space heating products, as well as patio heaters, and other propane technologies that are relevant in the local market.

Your typical duties:

· The Sales Executive/Installer willbe responsible for growing our Power and Appliance business which serves residential, commercial, and industrial customers by:

o Being accountable for identifying and approaching new prospects on a continual basis.

o Promptly responding to incoming leads and following up in a methodical and professional manner.

o Managing sales pipeline and documenting activities.

o Learn the product lines, and technical information quickly, and assist the team with the hands-on installation of these machines.

· Close sales and manage/oversee installation with rest of team.

· Handle permit applications, project plan development and submittal, and related processes.

· Capture annual service plan revenue on new and existing products.

· Stay abreast of the latest in new products, sales tactics, and processes.

Skills and qualifications:

· Two years of demonstrated success and sales experience selling generators, engines, solar, propane, HVAC, home appliances, or related equipment is required.

· Mechanical acumen and experience with the above equipment is highly desired.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written is required.

· Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite of products is required.

· Demonstrated ability to learn proprietary software systems is required.

· A valid Ariz. drivers’ license is required.

· Ability to travel outside of market for training or support of other locations as needed (10 percent est.) is required.

· Permit experience, development of site-plans, and navigation of these processes is highly desirable.

· Bachelor/Associate degree and/or formal sales training is desired, or, formal technician training with a sales focus is highly desired.

· Experience developing proposals, presenting, and conducting product demonstrations is desired.

· Customer Relationship Management software experience is desired.

Blue Star Gas also provides propane gas sales and service. The candidate will be expected to obtain a working knowledge of our propane services offered to support these segments as well.

He or she must be a highly motivated results driven professional who is well organized with strong follow-up skills.
