Labcorp is seeking an Account Specialist to join our DNA Customer Service team in Burlington, NC. This position will work with Child Support & Government Offices, other agencies, hospitals, clinics, vendors and internal customers to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are addressed in a timely and accurate manner. The Account Specialist will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience.
Work Shift/Schedule: 1st shift Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Handle outgoing and incoming calls of various accounts and other professionals
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain client relationships
- Serves as a liaison between Labcorp and the clients/patients that we serve
- Resolve routine customer requests with products or services via inbound, outbound calls, or the internet
- Speak with customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner using protocol procedures
- Inquire, clarify and confirm customer requirements and understanding of the solution
- Provide additional customer education and information as needed
- Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions
- Review forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies
- Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance
- Perform administrative support to assure HIPAA compliance
- Completes all follow-up work within established departmental timeframes
- Process requests and reports within the department’s specified guidelines
- Investigate and resolve problems within a short designated timeframe
Education/Qualifications/Skills
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, but prefer an Associate's Degree with 2-3 years of Customer Service experience
- Previous experience in a Customer Service role required; preferably in a call center
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry preferable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond
- Must be courteous with strong customer service orientation
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
- Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Possess great analytical and problem-solving skills
