open to hiring someone part-time or full time

Summary: Lucia’s Premium Pet is well-known retail boutique serving the residents of Daniel Island and their pets for over 15 years. We are a woman-owned, locally-owned supplier with a loyal customer base and continuous growth year over year.

We are looking for a sales associate who has a positive attitude, is an independent thinker and enjoys working with a small team. Someone who thrives in a boutique retail environment and enjoys customer engagement and education. As a sales associate, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, welcoming them into the store, learning about their needs and making appropriate product recommendations. The ideal candidate has the ability to multi-task, is detail-oriented, has strong customer service skills and is accustomed to catering to a high-end clientele. A love of animals is also kind of a “must have” ☺

The hourly rate will be based on experience. Lucia’s offers competitive pay rates plus incentives and perks. We value our employees and reward strong performance.

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming customers and offering assistance
• Strong customer service skills – listening to customers’ needs & making product recommendations
• Stocking weekly delivery orders- noting shortages & special-order fulfillments
• Maintaining a neat, clean and presentable retail environment
• Availability to work both weekday and weekend shifts

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience
• Previous retail experience is preferred.
• Must be available to work some evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Comfort-level with standing for extended periods of time on the retail floor
• Interest in learning about pet-related information pertinent to our products
