Requirements:
- Experience Selling to Government Entities is a MUST
- 5 Years of past government sales experience (preferred)
- 5 years of marketing experience (preferred)
- Proficient in the SLED process and comparable processes
- Strong knowledge and/or expertise in government accounts with intimate knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), including contracting procedures and regulations
- Experience supporting the growth of State and Local Government accounts
- A solid understanding of federal supply schedules (FSS) and government services agreements (GSA) and all proposal processes
- Can obtain, read, and process RFPs
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations, demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment
- Positive attitude, good work ethic, self-motivated, willing to put in more than the typical 9-5 effort to make a younger company grow (and grow with it)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (college degree is preferred)
- Travel of 15-25%
Responsibilities:
- Develops an effective and productive working relationship with multiple government accounts
- Educates our current customers on new products and options
- Develops and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth Implement a sales plan to support sales and profitability goals
- Makes personal sales calls at current customer sites on a regular basis & generate profitable sales orders
- Establishes customer relationships to grow profitable sales
- Stays current on existing and emerging product and technologies
- Reports competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management
- Attends product training classes to develop superior product knowledge to handle customer applications
- Assists customers with problem solving, takeoffs, project layout/design and in pricing bills of material and project management
- Performs other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
