About the Inside Sales and Support position:
We are a fast growing, startup tech food distribution company serving restaurants, cafes and other food service businesses in the Bay Area. We are looking for an experienced and skilled customer service professional who can resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue. Duties include receiving inbound calls, processing incoming orders; receive, evaluate, and respond to written or telephoned customer inquiries in a timely manner. Provide contact and liaison between customers and the sales/distribution departments.
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
- Prospect and contact potential customers
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Keep customers aware of latest developments and new items
- Enter orders (from phone and email) for next day delivery
- Receive a high volume of inbound calls and place outbound calls to customers
- Processing incoming orders (phone, web, email)
- Troubleshoot and resolve customers; service or billing complaints
- Coordinate same-day deliveries and pickups for customers. Process pickup requests from customers and
- DSR’s. Respond to delivery/routing questions and issues from customers
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries
- Serve as backup to cover breaks and time-off
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Education/Training:
- High School diploma or equivalent (required). College coursework or degree (preferred)
- Related Experience:Minimum of 1-year customer service call center environment experience (preferred)
Experience in food service distribution (preferred)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Bi-lingual in Spanish (highly preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides, etc.)
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (optional)
- Excellent typing skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Can multi task with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong people skills (especially on phone)
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Foodservice experience is a plus
- Social Media Marketing is beneficial
