Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Account Manager will increase customer retention by managing existing relationships with assigned accounts to reach monthly and quarterly sales goals.
Essential functions

- Create customer quotes utilizing requests for quotations (RFQs), engineering data forms (EDFs), specifications, emails, customer account preferences, and drawings.
- Collaborate with the engineering department to ensure accuracy and completeness of quotes.
- Gather all necessary job information and documents required to engineer and place jobs into production.
- Manage a sales pipeline.
- Respond to all forms of customer communication promptly.
- Conduct customer follow-up on all quotes.
- Log all project and account activity in CRM system.
- Establish and nurture strong professional relationships based on credibility, communication, and trust.
- Enhance existing business relationships proactively by reporting market intelligence, forecasts, account plans, and sales opportunities for assigned accounts.
- Meet and exceed assigned sales quotas.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products and technical understanding by studying training materials, equipment manuals, and all other pertinent resources.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with internal departments and resolve any customer issues promptly to ensure customer support and satisfaction.

- Proficient and efficient with computer programs to include Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and other online applications, as necessary.

The work environment includes primarily working indoors in an office space.
Physical demands
Includes prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift and/or move ten pounds.
Travel required
Travel, as needed, to visit customers and to attend industry events. Likely not to exceed 10%.
Required education and experience
- HS GED/Diploma.
- 2 years’ experience in sales or account management.
Preferred education and experience
- 2-year associates or bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Background in engineering or technical knowledge.
- Previous experience in the elevator industry.
- Spanish-speaking
