Summary:
Davis Tool, A leading producer of parts and complex assemblies in Hillsboro, Oregon has an opening for a Sales Engineer. We are looking for an experienced metals industry Inside Sales Professional to manage relationships with large customers. This position reports to the Sales Manager.
Compensation Depends on Experience (DOE). Indeed Posted Projected Wages are not accurate for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical, quality, and schedule support for customers
- Review customer needs, comparisons, and alignments to available Davis Tool processes
- Create cost models and prepare detailed quotes
- Ability to read blueprints in customer manufacturing
Competencies
- Experience in custom manufacturing technologies
- Quoting parts and assemblies within a quality, lead time, and cost structure
- Communication skills with external and internal engineering and technical resources
- Experience with Aerospace or Medical products is a plus
Communication
Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Documents customer needs and develops clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates effectively in meetings. Experience with PC (Word processing and spreadsheets). Be familiar with MRP tools including BOM & Routings/Work Process Instructions.

Education and/or Experience
- Engineering background desirable.
- 2-3 years experience in Manufacturing/Aerospace or related field, and
- 2+ years Machining and or sheetmetal manufacturing
