Customer Service/Account Management in Duluth, GA
SUMMARY: Work in a team environment to process customer orders and troubleshoot customer concerns. Adhere to all policy, safety and BRC standards.
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers
- Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and returns
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- •Answer and manage phone calls as applies
- •Manage new customer onboarding process
- •Receive, review, process all orders in SAP
- •Process expedited parcel shipments prior to daily cutoff.
- •Determine “ship from/ship to” location and best way to ship product
- •Calculate freight costs or obtain freight quote and include in order at time of processing
- •Coordinate paperwork and send to 3rd party warehouses and freight companies.
- •Verify accurate pricing on customer Purchase Order and request revisions as applies
- •Investigate short payments from Accounting and request credit/debit for damages or inventory discrepancies
- •Process drop ships prior to daily cutoff; enter tracking information daily
- •Investigate and process credits and short payments
- •Process claims for carriers and warehouse as needed
- •Support Sales team and customer requests on product and the sales process
- •Offer substitutions to products not available
- •Work closely with Production and Logistics to ensure order fulfillment
- •Work closely with Accounting to ensure accurate invoicing
- •Investigate open orders; ensure orders are invoiced by month end
- •Work as a team to develop standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for department
- •Assure accuracy of data entered in SAP and data provided to other departments
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Associates Degree or some level of continued education preferred. Three to Five years related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience and training.
•Math Skills- simple math computations
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to function and maintain focus in a high demand environment
•Ability to prioritize and multi-task according to workflow/demands
•Self-directed/self-motivated
•Apply critical thinking skills (analyze/evaluate/consider solutions/act)
•Intermediate computer skills - Microsoft Office/Excel/Word/Outlook
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Basic understanding of retail math, including calculating discounts and percentages
- Proficient in operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
