The Engineering Manufacturing Liaison, EML, will support Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Fleet procurement and sustainment, inventory management, logistics support to internal customers, Company Owned/Company Operated (COCO) contracts, demonstrations, and retrogrades. This position may support the GA-ASI Company Owned Fleet Manager with the daily execution of operational activities and serves as a liaison with engineering, manufacturing/production, warehousing, depot, Flight Test Facilities, and/or throughout the Program Management Office. The EML evaluates and resolves schedule conflicts and prioritization of conflicting needs. This position is responsible for monitoring fleet spares inventories and the status of parts as they progress through the production Depot Repair Process, which may include negotiating lead times with suppliers and managing schedules for timely delivery. This position involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of fiscal and operational significance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies issues in engineering and manufacturing and utilizes resources for resolution.
- Reviews engineering specifications and drawings. Confers across functional areas to provide and obtain technical information.
- Reviews open engineering and obsolescence issues affecting orders and alerts planning and engineering departments to issues that may affect manufacturing or outstanding work.
- Coordinates delivery schedule of raw materials and sub-assemblies from contractors.
- Monitors and reports on progress of manufactured parts required for project.
- Assists in and/or monitors the design and development process by coordinating between various engineering and manufacturing departments.
- Coordinates engineering support for manufacturing requirements and ensures schedule parity, expediting material and escalating issues as needed.
- Coordinates Manufacturing Service Request activities by resolving priority schedule conflicts.
- Monitors and analyzes open engineering issues affecting sales orders. Alerts planning department to open engineering issues that may affect manufacturing. Alerts engineering departments to sales order activity that may affect outstanding work.
- Material movement among sites, including resolution of Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Parts (MICAP) instances.
- Transportation order creation/tracking of truck manifests.
- OCR completion and Import/Export compliance monitoring.
- Create and monitor Internal Sales Orders (ISOs), Material Issue Requisitions (MIRs), Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) and forecast memo (FCM) submissions, and work with pricing and financial personnel as needed.
- Track schedule status and provide standardized reporting for material for which you are responsible as it relates to operational health of the Fleet.
- Field Discrepancy & Hardware Removal (FDHR) Reports and Parts Request Tracking System (PRTS) resolution and monitoring.
- UltraMain inventory monitoring and processing.
- Work with Capital Spares Service Center (CSSC) team to ensure alignment and coordination of cross functional duties.
- May conduct periodic program engineering/manufacturing planning meetings.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, planning or a related discipline as well as three or more years of progressive experience in planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must have a general knowledge of production and engineering support principles and concepts and a general understanding of practices, techniques, and standards.
- Must be customer focused and possess the ability to use independent analysis and judgment in developing solutions to a variety of non-routine problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers and external parties.
- Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to Word, Excel, SAP, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
