Government And Public Administration Sales and Marketing Manager in Hillsboro, OR
Westside Commons is currently looking for its next Sales and Marketing Manager. This position manages a team of sales and event services staff in local, regional, and national efforts to generate revenue for the Westside Commons including the new Wingspan Event & Conference Center.
This vital department role represents the facility as a desirable location for conventions, conferences, trade and consumer shows, public shows and meetings, while partnering with the Washington County Visitors Association to promote Washington County and Westside Commons. The position will also develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for advancing department goals.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Develop and implement plans and strategies to market, advertise, and promote Westside Common, and the annual County Fair; work with the Venue Manager and other venue staff to maximize the use of Westside Commons facilities.
2. Prepare and present proposals and packages to clients for use of Westside Commons facilities; include fire and safety guidelines, insurance requirements, facility and event schematics and other information; communicate requirements and guidelines for use of Westside Commons facilities with lessees; work with venue staff to execute lease requirements.
3. Serve as the Public Information Officer for Westside Commons; respond to inquiries and records requests from the public and members of the media; develop, implement, and manage the marketing and advertising program for the annual County Fair.
4. Develop and implement sales strategies for the annual County Fair Sponsorship program; consult with potential sponsors regarding their sponsorship business needs; design and customize sponsorship packages; work with the Fair Manager to determine pricing; present sponsorship and advertising packages to potential sponsors and clients.
5. Assists in creating a positive and supportive work environment; enforces a safe workplace; establishes a culture of teamwork and communication; creates a workplace that promotes the organizational values of workplace diversity, equity and inclusion and actively promotes an environment respectful of living and working in a multicultural society.
6. Provide on-going support to users of Westside Commons facilities before, during and after event to ensure requirements and lease contracts are fulfilled; work with law enforcement, fire services and other agencies to ensure fire and safety issues are appropriately addressed; compile data on events and use of the facility.
7. Develop and present proposals for potential clients and users interested in Westside Commons; respond to inquiries from potential clients; work with the Venue Manager and other venue staff to determine pricing, proposal requirements, and feasibility of event requirements.
8. Provide staff support to the Venue Manager; compile usage and satisfaction data from facility users; participate in the annual budgeting process.
9. Write and develop content and information for placement on the website and social media accounts including graphics, logos, photos, and event details.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Marketing, Event Management or related field; AND two (2) years' professional-level experience in marketing and promoting large events; OR- Five (5) years professional-level experience in marketing and promoting large events in a field similar to the position.

- Three (3) or more years of sales-related experience.
- Three (3) or more years of Event Venue/Event Facility experience.
