The Pedestrian Shops is a family owned and operated business selling comfortable footwear and accessories. We're seeking an experienced, responsible salesperson who enjoys working with people and being part of a team. This position will include assisting customers, ringing up sales, stock work, light cleaning, and merchandising. We pride ourselves in providing a high-information, low-pressure sales environment - so the desire to learn about the shoes and brands (Birkenstock, Lems, Chaco, Teva, Merrell, Dansko, Smartwool...) that we carry and then share that knowledge with customers is a must!

This is not a seasonal position. We are seeking candidates who will want to continue working into the fall (schedule changes due to school, etc are totally okay though!).

We are interested in candidates who:

• Have 1+ years of related retail sales experience (shoe sales experience preferred, but apparel, outdoor, and related categories will be considered)
• Can be available for 5 shifts per week (full, 8 hour shifts. Typically 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm). MUST BE AVAILABLE AT LEAST ONE WEEKEND DAY EACH WEEK.
• Are friendly, hardworking, and courteous
• Want to assist customers and sell comfortable footwear and accessories

Previous retail sales associate, sales representative, sales assistant experience preferred.
