Customer Service Representative II

Our Parma, Ohio branch of OSG USA, Inc. is one of the largest full-line domestic die manufacturers in the United States. We offer a wide range of products for the thread forming industry including flat, cylindrical, planetary, trimming, rack and segmented carbide dies. The company markets its products to numerous industries including automotive, die mold, aerospace, energy, heavy industry and dental.

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative II to join our growing team! In this role, you will provide inside sales support to the organization by providing various activities related to the interaction between the customer, outside sales and plant manufacturing/procurement. Ensure timely and accurate communication of information to ensure an excellent standard of service and high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.

Job Functions for a Customer Service Representative II:

  • Receives processes and verifies the accuracy of orders from customers utilizing the organization’s internal CRM/mainframe systems and customer purchase orders.
  • Initiates required action for response to customer service requests for order changes, including the maintenance of order/customer information files and communicates changes to the appropriate personnel/departments.
  • Ensures and provides quality service to both internal and external customers.
  • Familiar with product lines, prices, delivery time, and various promotional services.
  • Receives, researches, and responds to customer inquiries regarding technical issues and product quality.
  • Participates and provides expertise as a member of the customer service team. The team’s objective is to continuously seek improvement to the methodology and systems to increase accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the customer service department as a whole.
  • Provides quotations for stock and repeat items.
  • Establishes a professional relationship with the customers.
  • Assists with returns and replacement of product as required.
  • Filing, scanning and storing documents.
  • Freight approvals.
  • Export paperwork.
  • Process open order reports.
  • Perform other clerical duties and projects as assigned by the department supervisor/manager.

Qualifications for a Customer Service Representative II:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of one or two years as a CSR for OSG or equivalent manufacturing inside sales experience.
  • Must work well under pressure, be able to manage many tasks simultaneously and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must exhibit clear and logical problem solving skills.
  • Must have an excellent sense of priorities.
  • Must have a keen sense for attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and retain product knowledge when presented and tested.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Preferred experience in a related field, quoting/estimating and ERP experience.
