Overview:

A growing, Houston-based professional services firm, G&A Partners is currently seeking a Regional Sales Director to join its team in Des Moines, IA market.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Leads a team of sales and service professionals to achieve revenue and profitability goals in selling and servicing HR, payroll, and benefits services to small and midsized customer segments.
  • Assists in setting the vision for the region with respect to sales growth, brand awareness, and market share.
  • Sets sales and service goals for regional staff and manages individual performance relative to goals.
  • Leads and manages sales representatives with performance driven mentoring, and career development.
  • Coaches the service team on how to apply consultative and value driven strategies to exceed customer’s expectations and promote client retention.
  • Engages in collaborative and constructive problem solving with staff, as well as with internal functional groups.
  • Applies consultative, relationship, and strategic selling to identify value added solutions for existing and prospective clients.
  • Manages and maintains solid relationships with client base, referral sources and trusted advisors.
  • Develops proposals, delivers sales presentations and closely monitors the service delivery activity.
  • Maintains knowledge of competitors and their presence within the region.
  • Establishes and maintains a solid foundation within the region to support continued future sales growth.
  • Directs the selling activities within the region through deployment and management of resources.
  • Ensures sales strategies and service plans are continuously aligned with the strategic goals of the company.
  • Maintains active and visible involvement within the community to promote the company and to create brand awareness.
  • Manages and maximizes the value of strategic relationships with PEO brokers, L&H and P&C agencies.
  • Interfaces with client services team to ensure continued delivery of high quality service levels to clients.
  • Forecasts and manages sales goals and sales budget for region.
  • Evaluates market trends and gathers competitive information, identifies trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  • Disseminates information to regional staff, corporate marketing and sales operations.
  • Monitors progress toward meeting the plan’s requirements including the individual staff member’s contribution.
  • Manages the staffing, training and development processes for regional personnel.
  • Represents the company at trade associations, meetings, conferences, and other related events.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of region to conform to budgetary company expectations and requirements.
  • Prepares and presents periodic reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and service delivery metrics.
  • Develops solid book of business through effective client relationship management, negotiation, and closing.
  • Identifies new market opportunities, develops and implements strategies and plans for penetrating these opportunities.
  • Works closely with staff to drive and maintain the industry’s highest client retention percentage.
Qualifications:

Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in business management or related field, (MBA or related master’s degree preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10 years of consultative and relationship driven sales in professional services
  • 5 years’ experience supervising and managing staff
