A Long Island-based glass fabrication company is looking for someone with inside sales experience especially in the glass industry. If you are an energetic, motivated self-starter and ready to expand your career in the glass and window industry, please send us your resume or work experience.
Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the complete sales order lifecycle.
- Manages processes from performing data entries of orders, checking materials availability, shipping, and coordinating until invoicing.
- Manages the release of orders to the production team to ensure on-time delivery.
- Liaises with the planning team regarding stock levels and availability.
- Liaises with the production team regarding orders, deliveries, and stock checks.
- Supports and coordinates the preparation of all necessary documentation for shipping.
- Tracks and traces deliveries with a transport carrier and provides an expected delivery time when requested.
- Ensures the efficient and accurate flow of information between supply sales, production, and customers.
- Provides professional, knowledgeable, courteous customer service and maintains a frequent channel of communication with customers.
- Provides post-shipment support and is responsible for shortages, overages, and other claims/complaints and conducts investigations.
- Resolves incoming inquiries and records customer complaints with an action taken.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on or experience in any production process is a plus.
- Quickbooks Module knowledge is a MUST.
- Familiarity with the glass fabrication order lifecycle is a plus.
- Familiarity with shipping processes is a plus.
- PC proficiency such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Has a passion for learning new skills every day.
- Good written, verbal, and listening skills. Clear, concise communication style in both English and (Chinese) Mandarin.
- Time management skills to prioritize workload and multiple deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible within the role.
