Responsibilities

• Insurance company relationship management and market development
• Agent support and training for business development
• Support the development of an agency-wide risk advisory culture

Functions

• Develop and maintain insurance carrier relationships
• Develop and manage overall insurance carrier strategy for SouthGroup’s book of business
• Review carrier contracts and engage in carrier planning
• Manage acquired agencies onboarding with carriers
• Maintain, manage and disseminate carrier information as a market subject matter expert
• Develop, coordinate, and manage the SouthGroup Risk Management Program
• Provide agent training and coaching of SouthGroup agents
• Manage risk management resources training and outsourced advisor relationships

Requirements

• 5+ years Insurance agency or company experience
• Property and Casualty Insurance License
• Insurance designation such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), or other comparable designation

Compensation will be based on qualifications of applicant.
