An award winning Global Sales office based in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking several Technical Sales individuals to join the sales team:
Position Overview: In this role you will be responsible for sales activities including generating quotes at automotive OEM and Tier 1 accounts for chassis related components.
This role is well suited for candidates who enjoy consultative selling, advanced product involvement, prioritize tasks in a fast paced work environment, and is self-starter and motivated accordingly.
The ideal candidate must have knowledge of OEM documentation and manufacturing processes of chassis related components.
This position is based at our Sterling Heights Michigan location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks.
- Specific expertise in metal to plastic conversion for driveline components.
- Create opportunities by canvasing various engineering customer locations.
- Develop positive relationships with clients which drive sales opportunities.
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
- Successfully match customer requirements to proposed molding solutions.
- Communicate with team members and management regarding job progress and identify potential issues.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
- Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.
- Report on the status of accounts and transactions.
- Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition related to metal to plastic conversion.
- Travel locally and domestic as needed.
Qualified candidate will have the following
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or business related field.
- Three to five years of sales experience in automotive field selling to OEM and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Preferred prior sales experience in chassis related components
- General understanding of casting methods.
