Who we are:
Zadoon, LLC purchases and sells used heavy equipment, and is seeking to hire a full-time, permanent Business Development Specialist to assist with Sales and Procurement.
The position:
Please note that this position will be required to work hours between 8:00AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time and may be required to go beyond standard working hours on occasion.
We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to source both owned and brokered inventory from our suppliers and their agents. Primary work will revolve around procuring machines that Zadoon can purchase or consign, as well as selling used equipment in our owned or brokered inventory.

The position will be based from a home office and requires a wired broadband Internet connection as well as a dedicated home office space which is separate from other living areas. The position will work normal business hours during the week but may be asked to take on some overtime or weekend work as needed.
What you will do:
- 95%: Sales and Procurement Development
- Build new relationships, and nurture existing relationships, with local, regional, and national customers to offer cash offers, free consignment, and auction services for surplus gear, inventory and consignment items for sale, and act as equipment locator for machines not in our owned or consigned inventory
- Contractors/End Users
- Act as the asset management arm, assisting in bringing units on for new jobs, or rolling units out for age/end of job/company closure
- Manufacturer Dealers
- Includes walking yards locally on a consistent scale to find off-brand and aged inventory that can be purchased at wholesale
- Rental Houses
- Develop de-fleet options for rental houses in addition to providing low hour/late model units for adding to their fleet
- Financial Companies/Leasing Companies
- Provide a cash and consignment outlet for lease returns, repossessions, and other needs
- Auction Houses
- Includes visiting auction houses for pre-purchase inspections and bidding with evaluation assistance from COO and President
- Contractors/End Users
- Track Progress to goals
- Add contacts to Salesforce from existing customer/client base
- Meet quotas for purchases/brokered units/sales on a monthly basis
- Weekly strategy/planning meetings to plan out week and intended outcomes
- Follow “The Zadoon Way” philosophy to build strong insight and knowledge of customer needs and respond accordingly
- Communicate proactively, effectively, and thoroughly
- Must respond to customer email inquiries within two (2) hours, and then at regular intervals (minimum daily) until their issue is resolved/question is answered
- Utilize multiple channels to connect with customers phone, text, email, WhatsApp, social media, and more.
- Build new relationships, and nurture existing relationships, with local, regional, and national customers to offer cash offers, free consignment, and auction services for surplus gear, inventory and consignment items for sale, and act as equipment locator for machines not in our owned or consigned inventory
- 5% Miscellaneous: Administrative and event based
- Attend local, regional, and national conferences to present offerings to contractors and developers
- Collect and update information in SalesForce and other systems as needed
- Work with the Leadership Team to create workflows and processes to ensure that not only is the job getting done, but done in a way conducive to sustainable growth

- You understand the term “yellow iron” and you can tell us how which machines are used in earthmoving vs. forestry operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction heavy equipment industry, ideally as a sales person, sales manager, fleet manager, rental manager, or other related role.
- Proficient with current, relevant computer software including the Google Suite of products (Gmail, GCal, Drive, etc.)
- Discretion with personal and confidential information
- Experience with using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
- Fluent English speaker
- Must reside in the U.S.
