Head of Sales and Business Development
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develop, execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets & expand the customer base.
· Prepare, manage annual budget for Sales activities (new initiatives, shows, travel etc.)
· Manage response to customer inquiries and preparation of quotes as necessary.
· Manage pricing of products to ensure both competitiveness and profitability. Provide periodic sales forecasts by territory.
· Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals through outbound sales efforts and maintain and communicate to management an ongoing record of bookings per month.
· Build a strong sales team to ensure continued sales growth.
· Maintain relationships with current Representatives, domestic and international. Engage additional Representatives as necessary to continue sale penetration/growth.
· Become familiar with the products to maintain and build the current network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
· Be able and prepared to travel both domestically within North America and Internationally.
· Manage demonstration of the functions and utility of products to customers as necessary to win sales. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
· Manage the resolution of any issues that may arise post-sale.
· Ensure the maintenance and communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products and enhancements that may be of interest.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· At least 4+ years of related experience required.
· At least 4+ years of experience in B2B sales of technical products Experience of managing independent sales representatives a plus.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
