Gilbert Insurance Agency, Inc. in Reading has been providing coverage you can trust since 1951. We are a family-owned independent agency with offices in Reading, Medford and Georgetown. Currently, we are looking for a Full Time Personal Lines Inside Sales Representative. We are offering a competitive base salary plus commission, including benefits; medical, dental, life and disability plans. Job Description: Commercial Lines Inside Sales Representative would be responsible for marketing new business opportunities to a variety of insurance company partners. Activities include, but not limited to completing applications with prospects, quoting in carrier websites, comparing coverage and presenting quotes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports Account Executives in marketing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects;
• Handle incoming requests for commercial lines quotes;
• Negotiates rates;
• Binds insurance coverage and prepares binders;
• Reviews policies for accuracy;
• Prepares summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients;
• Responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies;
• Create and maintain relationships with our insurance company partners;
• Deliver superior customer service while adhering to guidelines and workflows;
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

• Current MA Individual Insurance license or willingness to obtain
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in insurance
• Strong computer skills – (experience using AMS360 and preferred)
• Superior organizational and communication skills, flexibility, detail oriented, and an ability to work independently
• Strong documentation skills
• Ability to work well in a team atmosphere
• Self-motivating and positive attitude
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize
