As the Vice President of Sales Operations Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and maximize sales performance within our organization. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing sales strategies, optimizing sales processes, and providing guidance to the sales team. You will work closely marketing, data analytics, sales training, finance, product management and other key stakeholders to align sales operations with overall business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of sales methodologies, market dynamics, sales technologies and competitive landscapes. This role is a key member of the Leadership Team to ensure that operational strategies, processes, tactical plans, and decisions ensure successful sales execution.
Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement of the CHG sales strategy and execution through working closely with sales executives and identifying areas of opportunity for future focus. Identifying and aligning on resources required to execute on the strategy
  • Develop and implement sales strategies: Collaborate with executive leadership to establish sales objectives, revenue targets, and market penetration strategies. Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop, deploy, and evolve strategies that provides data-driven, real-time insights into the operational effectiveness of the sales organizations across divisions
  • Sales process optimization: Evaluate and enhance the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement, partner with divisional executive teams to develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, increase conversion rates, and accelerate sales cycles.
  • Provide leadership and direction to senior sales leaders. Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching and mentorship, and foster a high-performance sales culture. Ensure effective communication and alignment across the sales organization.
  • Partner with sales executives to drive performance through defining and cascading of strategic sales targets and performance program(s), and by establishing performance metrics, control mechanisms, and supporting systems
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, product management, finance, and other key stakeholders to align sales strategies with overall business goals. Provide input and support for product development, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
  • Sales enablement: Partner with key leaders to develop and implement sales enablement programs, including sales training, collateral development, and sales tools. Equip the sales team with the necessary resources, knowledge, and skills to effectively engage with customers and close deals.
  • Market and competitive analysis: Partner with Marketing, Product, Enterprise Client Solutions and Finance to monitor and assess competitive dynamics and perform liaison role to Chief Sales Officer and CHG leadership on impact on sales approach.
  • Partner with CHG executive team to continuously scan the market for strategic partnerships or acquisition to accelerate the business.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 10-15 years of experience in sales operations change leadership
  • Mix of operational leadership and sales/sales leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, team building and organizational skills. Proven ability to coach and develop staff as well as technical ability to coordinate functional business activities
  • Change management and continuous improvement capabilities including experience in a matrix team environment
  • Develop growth strategies for the company’s services and products by understanding and developing our business strategy, understanding target market and customer requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams on product/service strategy, creating competitive differentiation, tracking (and establishing) market trends, and measuring results
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, processes, and performance metrics
  • Experience partnering with marketing departments to synchronize automation technologies with sales approach and philosophy
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to translate business goals into specific objectives
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence and align at all levels of the organization
  • Proven relationship building skills at executive level
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing collaborations and teams, including disperse field work force, to effectively sustain and grow Company sales
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work load and tasks to effectively meet established deadlines
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales enablement tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $305,000 - $525,000 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.
CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
