This is not a remote role and will require the incumbent to work a hybrid schedule.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to our Business Development Team while engaging in various outreach initiatives and events across the country. Your flexibility, strong communication skills, and commitment to maintaining a high level of organization will be critical to ensuring the smooth operation of the department and supporting our growth objectives.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Business Development team, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing time-sensitive projects.
- Coordinate and attend nationwide networking events, conferences, and other outreach initiatives on behalf of the credit union.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of marketing materials, presentations, and proposals tailored to different regions and target markets.
- Maintain accurate records of all business development activities, including leads, referrals, and sales performance metrics, while traveling.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and data necessary for business development projects and analysis.
- Conduct research on regional industry trends, competitor offerings, and potential partnership opportunities in different markets.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results, ensuring timely delivery to relevant stakeholders.
- Open and manage new member accounts and applications, as well as all email communication that comes through from existing & potential members.
- Manage and maintain contact databases, ensuring up-to-date contact information for partners, clients, and prospects across the country.
- Assist in tracking expenses, budgeting, and financial reporting related to business development initiatives and travel.
Education Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher in business administration, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Related Work Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a business development or sales environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel across the nation (up to 50% or more).
Functional Skills:
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with credit union products, services, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
