Make sure to include both the job title and location of the job if you email me directly. *** Permanent, full-time job ( direct hire ) offering W2 compensation with full benefits and relocation assistance *** Job location: in Naperville, IL ( Chicago ) Bid Manager : - Bid Manager for the Rolling Stock Services Department, delivering bids for Operation, Maintenance, and Asset Support of Passenger Trains and Transport Systems - Role is to manage the Tender, Quality, Costs, Delivery and Performance (QCDP) commitment for bids. - Aim is to deliver a winning proposal to the customer, with a defined scope, accurate QCDP commitments, in a timely manner and within the defined tender budget. - Pre-tendering (when relevant), in anticipation of the tendering process. - Build the schedule to prepare the offer - Manage the tender budget - Manage the tender team - Analyze the request for proposal (RFP) and define the bid operational strategy in line with the commercial strategy - Propose the offered solution in terms of a product solution and tender organization - Ensure offered solution compliance versus customer requirements and internal product strategy - Lead the preparation of the financial elements of the bid - Define interfaces and allocate to actors the cost targets and the contractual obligations - Check, challenge, and properly consolidate sub systems commitments - Organize risk reviews and ensure the development of mitigation plans - Prepare and lead internal reviews and obtain clear commitments from internal actors - Lead the preparation of the documentation to submit to the customer: technical description, clause by clause, schedule, administrative documents, and price formats. - Work with partnering companies when relevant - Support customer interaction during tender phase (Q&A collection, administrative documentation etc) - Participate in the contract negotiations (when relevant) - Review of the final contract documents before contract signature - Transfer the project to the designated project manager for project execution Qualifications : - BS or MS degree in engineering or any relevant field - Hands on experience with bid management - Ideally previous experience in the railway industry or the railway maintenance industry - Experience in costing, planning and risk management, and legal aspects - High capability to efficiently manage a team working to produce the tender deliverables within a limited time period and under potentially stressful conditions - High Communications skills, reporting capabilities - Negotiation skills; Customer oriented - Some travel is expected across the region (U.S. and Canada) Please send me your details (resume, work authorization status, current location, availability and compensation expectations) directly to: [please apply online] for an immediate consideration. Bid Manager :
