Job Purpose:
The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for maintaining quality services and public relations, meeting financial goals and widening the referral base of center(s).
Essential Functions:
Business & Clinical Operations:
- Oversee all day-to-day responsibilities of center staff at multiple locations.
- Participate in development of budgets and manage P&Ls.
- Oversee overall reimbursement of clinical services.
- Develop and share operational methods to increase revenue and improve customer service to maximize Center(s) reimbursement.
- Act as primary liaison between the Centers and various support services in Nashville.
- Promote, educate and utilize patient scheduling (centralized) services.
- Prepare and process Center Schedules, PTO and manage overtime expenses.
- Partner with HR with recruiting, onboarding, performance management, staffing requirements and disciplinary action when needed.
- Promote and practice patient satisfaction.
- Oversee electronic chart auditing.
- Ensures clinical team actively participates and is committed to quality improvement process by the physicians and team members, including weekly chart rounds, daily chart checks by RTs, physician peer review, tumor boards, required Q&A and other quality and safety improvement programs.
- Manages throughput at site to meet established goals, ensuring patient care and satisfaction are high priority for all team members.
- Develops & maintains operational reports as needed.
- Develops & maintains working knowledge of all programs/software used within the center.
- Manage and troubleshoot equipment preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Develops & maintains working knowledge of all functions within the center.
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Compliance with ION policies, processes and procedures.
- Manage regular attendance and punctuality of self and other team members.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Perform any other functions as required by management.
Growth Initiatives:
- Responsible for increasing performance and patient experience to ensure centers will perform budgeted plan, including same store growth, expense targets and revenue goals.
- Manages sales & marketing for center(s) with support of VP or other functional support team members.
- Develops and executes sales plan for market and measures results.
- Develops & maintains strong relationships with all physicians (internal & external).
- Develops & maintains strong relationships with local hospital leadership teams.
- Participates & supports local business development projects.
- Continual pursuit and dissemination of cancer information.
- Perform any other functions as required by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (including overtime, and weekends, as necessary).
- Minimum of 5 years in a responsible position demonstrating management, program development and implementation of related services.
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare related experience, preferably in management role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other programs related to healthcare medical records
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree related to job, preferably also Master’s Degree. Sufficient healthcare experience can substitute education preferences.
