Full description of the position

Job Description:

Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial, this position will lead the Kinetrex/Kinder Morgan efforts at developing a holistic RNG and electric power arbitrage model to expand our trading platform and overall industry presence. The Individual will play a key role working with the team in actively identifying, nurturing, and acquiring new clients, projects, and development opportunities to expand the Kinetrex RNG and power portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a key leader within the company to foster development and profitability by generating RNG arbitrage models, establishing business partners and trading relationships, successfully manage various growth strategies (i.e. organic, joint venture, acquisitions) to develop RNG, power, and Renewable Identification Number (“RINs") opportunities, while being comfortable interacting and negotiating with C level executives and key decision makers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead the company’s efforts at developing opportunities for RNG based power production and navigating the regulatory steps necessary for monetizing the opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment for individual development and team development.
  • Oversee and enhance business development processes and engagements (i.e., presentations, RFIs, RFPs, conferences, etc).
  • Proven experience in developing comprehensive market research, strategic analysis, and business plans.
  • Clear understanding of developing capital-intensive business proposals, and financial modeling required to ensure company meets its financial return thresholds.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to derive and translate customer insights into sales and marketing strategies.

Position Requirements


Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA or Masters degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience driving and achieving business development results
  • 7+ years of building, training and managing a team
  • Experience in generating new B2B partnerships
  • Background and experience in electric power project development and power industry experience
  • A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Work collaboratively, as well as independently
  • Demonstrated leadership with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence a wide range of audiences
