We're looking for Sales Associates to join our amazing team! In this role, you'd be responsible for helping customers to find merchandise and to purchase store products. General duties include ensuring the store is appropriately stocked with merchandise, assisting customers as needed, and performing sales transactions and returns.

Essential Functions and Duties

• Greet customers in a warm and friendly manner as they walk in the door.

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to customers’ questions and making recommendations.

• Direct and escort customers to merchandise in the store.

• Drive store sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing superior product knowledge.

• Operate cash registers to ring up orders, balance drawers, and accurately process credit and debit card transactions.

• Inform customers of any extra charges if necessary.

• Arrange for delivery or pick-up of purchases per any customer instructions,

• Document sales by creating and updating customer profile records.

• Keep clientele informed of preferred customer sales, promotions, loyalty clubs, and future merchandise of potential interest.

• Achieve established sales goals as set forth by store management.

• Collaborate with co-workers to keep the overall sales floor clean and organized at all times, which includes products, signage, and displays.

• Alert management of any current or potential safety and security issues.

• Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.

• Carry out additional duties as directed by the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Two years retail experience, desired

• Outstanding customer service skills

• Familiarity with POS systems and the ability to learn new technologies

• Excellent communication and active listening skills

• Cheerful working attitude and a high energy level

• Ability to work a flexible schedule

• Empathy and tact in turning a frustrated customer into a happy one

• Product knowledge

• Ability to up-sell

• Dependable

• General math skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended period of time

• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Qualifications/Education

Associates degree or high school diploma (or GED).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.54 per hour
