We are currently seeking a dedicated and driven Life New Business Representative to join our team. The Life New Business Representative position reviews and process life new business applications for good order to ensure timely placement of policies on your book of business. This position works as liaison between the agents and the carriers to gather and review outstanding requirements. This is more than a data entry job – this is an opportunity to let your customer service skills shine, build relationships with agents and help ensure business is placed quickly and efficiently. This position requires case management skills that keep the process moving while keeping agents and key personnel up to speed.
What You'll Be Responsible For.
  • Case management from the time the application is received until a decision is made with the goal of placing as many policies in force as possible.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners Provides professional, accurate, and timely service to our wholesale and agent partners, with a focus on efficient and effective end to end processes.
  • Manage cases with a sense of urgency, commitment to problem solving and responsiveness; recognize high priority situations and respond accordingly.
  • Provide high level customer service via phone (inbound and outbound) and email. Conduct communication in a professional, pleasant, and helpful manner to our wholesalers and agents.
  • Build partnerships with team members, engage in process improvement conversations and look for ways to elevate the services we provide.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college plus one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior life insurance industry experience is preferred. Prior customer service experience is required.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information; Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to handle customer interactions with confidence and tact
  • Strong problem-solving skills
