We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We are looking for a Building Automation & Controls Sales Engineer candidate to join our expanding self-perform functions here at RQ. Our Building Automation & Controls Sales Engineer is responsible for preparing controls cost estimates for assigned scopes of work on a given project. The Building Automation and Controls Sales Engineer will be responsible for estimating more than one project at a time. This should be done with accuracy and within the required timeframe, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Candidates local to the Carlsbad, CA or Jacksonville, FL offices will be considered.

Salary: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 annually (depending on experience)

Qualifications include:

• BA/BSdegreeinengineeringorrelatedfieldistheminimumformaleducationrequired for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field is qualifying.
• A technical degree in HVAC or Electronics related studies is acceptable with five (5) or more years' experience (or equivalent) in architectural/engineering/construction estimating and related functions, including planning, techniques, and contracting.
• Basic knowledge of DDC, BAS, PLC, HMI, Fire Alarm and Low Voltage control systems
• Conceptual and Hard-Bid estimating
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Internet, TEAMS, ) required.
• Specific software literacy(On-Screen Take Off, Adobe Reader, Bluebeam) preferred.
• Previous work experience in the construction design-build industry, including work with contractors and subcontractors in public marketplace or military construction preferred.
• An understanding of NFPA/NCIT and other related fire and life safety codes is beneficial; training can be provided.
