Full description of the position

Midwest Direct is hiring a National Sales Executive and are looking for a motivated National Sales Executive with a startup mentality to join the Midwest Direct team and hit the ground running by actively prospecting customers to help grow their marketing communications via digital ads, direct mail and fulfillment services. Our ideal new team member will have a proven track record of building relationships with customers by becoming a trusted expert in all their marketing communication needs in both digital and print advertisement. At Midwest Direct, we are more than just a printer and lettershop, we are a consultant to our customers. The National Sales Executive will be responsible for development and maintaining a book of business by identifying sales opportunities, closing the sale, and building long lasting customer relationships in a competitive, fast-paced industry. We need someone who is looking for the challenge of growing new and existing customers by providing excellent service and using best practices to increase revenues and improve profitability.

What will you do as a National Sales Executive?

  • Manage, develop, and grow new and existing customer relationships
  • Research and contact potential customers to help continue to grow one’s customer base
  • Generate new sales leads through networking, cold calling to build and maintain relationships
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects
  • Build and deliver client presentations
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Production to discuss pricing and solutions
  • Educate customers on the benefits of digital and physical marketing communications and all services offered by Midwest Direct
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and the customer to implement the customer's solution, including participation in onboarding
  • Engage with customers post-sale via account reviews and quarterly meetings to prove ROI, create new value, and educate/train client teams


What are the qualifications of the National Sales Executive?

  • Bachelor’s degree desired
  • 5 years of previous sales experience in the direct mail is preferred
  • Hunter mentality
  • Proven past success in managing relationships with business partners
  • Experience driving and creating long term transformational account strategies and relationships
  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remain on-task with minimal supervision
