Summary
The Sales Engineer is responsible for working closely with the Sales Executive team, serving as the technical expert to provide guidance and support to prospective customers in the pre-sales process. In this role, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for utilizing technical expertise, awareness of HIPAA and security regulations, and knowledge of the healthcare IT technology landscape in order to assist in getting deals across the finish line. A successful Sales Engineer will be someone who is motivated, customer-facing, understands how to navigate technical meetings, can articulate complex explanations in layman's terms, and has a desire to be part of a fast-growing team. This role requires some travel.
- Works closely with the Sales Executive team serving as the ultimate product expert
- Explains technology to all types of users, thus thoroughly understanding all aspects of Loyal's consumer experience platform
- Maintains familiarity with the health system technology landscape including EHRs, CRMs, credentialing, billing, clinical tools, digital marketing tools, etc.
- Creates and manages 3rd party integration documentation for the Sales team
- Manages all demo environments and ensures each demo contains the most up to date use cases programmed
- Customizes product demos for sales meetings to address specific use cases and 3rd party integrations
- Assists in eliminating bottlenecks by working cross-functionally (Sales, Support, Product, Engineering, Security) in order to get deals across the finish line
- Works closely with prospect's technical and security teams
- Completes RFPs and security/risk assessment questionnaires sent to the Sales Executive team
- Understands and is able to explain Loyal's API documentation to IT teams
- Collaborates closely with Loyal's Product Management and Engineering teams to learn how to sell our solutions and give feedback from the field
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience required
- 4 years of experience in SaaS enterprise software sales engineering required. Other relevant work experience may be considered, preferably in the healthcare IT space.
- Experience with security and privacy pertaining to SaaS systems and HIPAA regulations required
- Familiarity with the healthcare IT landscape (EHR, billing, CRM, etc.) required
- Understanding of APIs, JSON, custom data importers, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing required
- Experience presenting to senior managers and C-suite staff required
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM required
- Experience selling to health system executives required
- Experience with the healthcare industry is preferred
- Experience working within a software as a service (SaaS) company is preferred
- Experience working within a high growth and/or ambiguous environment, with proven experience to be adaptable is preferred
