Title: Inside Sales and Customer Service
Reports to: Inside Sales and Customer Service Manager
Job Purpose: Responsible for customer support and sales related activities.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Execute on all data entry requirements including customer orders, shipping documents, invoices, credits, etc.
- Maintain and execute on the following responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Customer related documents including customer purchase orders, price list, customer cross reference, etc.
- Customer order related freight management including ordering and coordinating trucks.
- Communicate any shortages and/or missed shipments to the sales and management teams.
- Work with AR to reconcile any invoicing issues.
- Maintain and assist in growing designated existing accounts.
- Work closely with Inside Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales & Business Development to manage major and critical developing accounts and coordinate the management of all accounts.
- Continue current departmental efforts to reduce costs (i.e., freight).
- Participate in the development and administration of new project proposals.
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance in conjunction with the sales and management teams.
- Continue to expand on product and market knowledge.
- Remain informed of all lean initiatives and champion continuous improvement efforts where appropriate.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment (i.e., 6S).
- Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
- Execute all responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards as established by company policies and procedures.
- Previous inside sales experience or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and logistics administration preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Experience in ERP/MRP systems required
- Team player who enjoys challenging situations
