Position Overview
The Sales Coordinator, under the Direction of the General Manager, assists guest in the booking process of events and rooms blocks for the hotel. The ideal candidate loves planning and meeting people from all over the State, across the Country, and around the World, and looking for personal and career growth opportunities in sales and hotel operations.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Calls current and potential clients to follow-up with critical details of group blocks and events as well as writes correspondence and various documentation using proper grammar and format. Also proofreads/distributes as assigned.
2. Files correspondence and documents as necessary. Provides information on group dates, rates and deadlines. Ensures that all pertinent deadlines are met.
3. Assists General Manager as requested.
4. Conducts site tours.
5. Promotes and represents the hotel through personal involvement in community and professional organizations.
6. Communicates group/client needs in meetings.
7. Assists with writing rate proposals and agreements.
8. Answers phone calls to Sales, takes accurate messages and transfers telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner.
9. Provides assistance and coverage in hotel operations, as needed.
10. Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients in order to produce group business.
Requirements:
At times, must be willing to stay late or work weekends to engage with meeting planners and support operational departments to ensure exceptional service and hospitality is being delivered.

Computer aptitude in Microsoft Office and Oracle.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Office, Internet.
Well organized and detail oriented.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
