Coastal Vision Medical Group is a premier eye care provider. Our surgeons are highly trained and experienced in LASIK vision correction, Cataract Surgery and treating Glaucoma. Our mission is to provide the best medical and surgical ophthalmological care for our patients, utilizing the latest technology.

Patient Education Consultant Summary:
The Patient Education Consultant will be responsible for educating and guiding patients who are interested in medical and refractive procedures, with an increased focus on patient experience. Ensure patient care is delivered and demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide good customer service; ability to communicate effectively and
assists with scheduling surgery. The patient education consultant will ensure patients have a complete understanding of Lasik & Cataract process, meeting patient expectations at their visit.

Job Description (including but not limited to):

• Consult with patients in person, by phone, email and text
• Concierge for patients, responding timely and efficiently to questions
• Review medical history and complete diagnostics, auto refraction, visual acuity, pachymetry, etc.
• Review consent forms, pre/post instructions
• Obtain any prior approvals or authorizations needed from insurance companies
• Schedule surgery after examination
• Communicate with referring doctors effectively

Job Requirements:

• 2-5 years customer service experience
• Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Organized, able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Motivated self-starter, team player
• 2-3 years medical/sales experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communcation skills
• Good listening skills
• Must have reliable transportation and willing to travel to other locations as needed.

Hourly rate can be increased depending upon experience (DOE)

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
