Business Development Specialist

Reports to: Branch Manager

Supervises: N/A

Position Overview:

The Business Development Specialist promotes company values and generates revenues to support the sales goals of the company. This position is responsible for generating new business and creating strategic opportunities to gain additional landscaping and snow contracts.

Position Details:

  • Salary: BOE
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time. Ability to drive for extended periods of time.
  • Work Schedule: Hours vary based on seasonal needs, must be flexible. Part-time or Full-time.
  • Work Location: Columbus, Ohio
  • Work Conditions: Outside, indoors, office environment
  • Travel: 75%

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client engagement and communication are being performed to meet company goals
  • Produce accurate, real time reporting in Asset that allows the sales staff to know where their sales, pipeline, and CRM stand at all times
  • Report Sales performance
  • Review & update pipeline, backlog, commission, and sales tracking reports
  • Perform business development on a continual basis to assure we are always creating opportunities with our desired clientele
  • Lead our networking initiative, participate with other individuals, and assure we are penetrating the markets we have identified as desired clientele
  • Ensure that weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas are met
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals established annually with the President
  • Prospect, promote and sell services that match our desired clientele
  • Assess & assign prospect leads to sales

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and insurability; required
  • Three years experience in a consultative selling environment, with verifiable results

Pay: $50,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
