Full description of the position

Hanson Faso Sales & Marketing is a food broker of Specialty, Natural, Perishables, and Confections. We are currently seeking an Account Manager – Meijer. This individual will be a key member of the Hanson Faso Sales team reporting to our Michigan Territory Manager. Previous experience in account management is required.

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead in the overall strategy for our clients at assigned customers.
  • Maintain a full understanding of how customers work, including market positioning, policies and procedures, customer base, and promotional strategy.
  • Set sales goals for customers as a whole, and by client.
  • Target and maintain the right mix of items from each client.
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with key decision-makers at assigned accounts.
  • Work all aspects of gross margin analysis and target pricing to achieve margins.
  • Develop, execute and monitor merchandising & promotional plan for maximizing results.
  • Gather, organize, and review sales data from warehouse and customer perspectives.
  • Understand competition to increase the ability for clients to better compete.
  • Manage the cost of covering assigned territory including the amount of money spent on in store work.
  • Maintain high level of knowledge about the happenings within assigned territory and overall industry.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong work ethic and task oriented
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external personnel.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs.

The position is a salaried position with access to benefits associated with full time employment including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k participation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
