The Opportunity

XA Talent is currently seeking a dynamic results-driven Business Development Representative with a proven track record in software sales to join our client’s sales team. The ideal candidate will be accountable for working closely with the CEO to drive new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and expand the customer base. You will play a critical role in identifying and pursuing key prospects, establishing strong relationships, and driving the sales process to close deals in pursuit of achieving revenue targets.

  • Support and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive software sales growth, targeting specific industries or market segments.
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential prospects, conduct thorough research, and utilize networking strategies to generate new leads.
  • Engage with key decision-makers and stakeholders, delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value of the software solutions.
  • Nurture relationships with existing and new clients, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue potential.
  • Collaborate closely with the supporting team to develop customized proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth handover of accounts for delivery.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to position software products effectively.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and expand professional networks.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports to the management team, leveraging CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns, sales collateral, and promotional materials to support lead-generation efforts.

What You Need to Have Knowledge Of

  • Research capability to acquire a strong knowledge of software solutions and industry trends, with the ability to understand customer pain points and propose tailored solutions.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools to track and manage sales activities.

Qualities Needed to Be Successful

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a software sales or business development role, preferably in Information Technology.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle objections and influence decision-making processes.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to identify and prioritize high-value opportunities.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
