Gaston Telecommunications is an AT&T Authorized Retailer looking for an Assistant Retail Store Manager to supervise a sales team and provide mentorship and direction. Our Retail Store Managers are charged with maintaining store operations and making sure the store meets budget and sales goals while complying with our corporate and brand campaigns and promotions.
Duties:
Along with meeting and exceeding sales quotas monthly, you will need a high level of energy that will build sales momentum. Your teams will look to your ability to lead by example and demonstrate excellent listening skills and solid decision-making skills. The ability to work well in a team environment and having a deep understanding of the competitive landscape is what your team will seek to drive your stores to success. As the face of the company ,you will need to Drive Sales Performance, Coach Successful Behaviors & Ensure Operational Excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, train, coach and develop sales staff on all aspects of sales
- Actively manage and motivate sales team every single day to ensure sales quotas are being met or exceeded
- Provide effective performance feedback to all staff and set time frame for achievement
- Consistently find ways to increase employee and location productivity and drive sales
- Maintain appropriate level of staffing at location by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
- Ensure availability of merchandise by maintaining inventory levels
- Market merchandise by adhering to advertising, sales promotion, and display plans
- Secure merchandise and protect employees by adhering to security standards
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as required
- Handle scheduling of staff at location to ensure appropriate shift coverage
- Handle all intensified customer service issues with professionalism
- Execute daily operational procedures with efficiency, diligence, and integrity
- Communicate, execute, and implement policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
KEY SKILLS:
- SALES - Lead your team to meet or exceed all sales goals, including the definition and implementation of strategies that motivate performance and generate results.
- OPERATIONS - Act as faithful steward of your store, to protect inventory, cash and all other assets. Use checklists and SOP's, and create your own as desired, to "run a tight ship."
- COACHING - RSM's should develop their teammates' skills through active coaching and by setting a proper example through their own behavior on the sales floor.
- RECRUITING & RETENTION - We need RSM's whose performance, dedication to culture and personality act as a magnet for other talented people
- CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE - Instill a sense of pride in delivering world class customer service.
We offer exceptional total compensation with no "ceiling" on store bonus potential. You and your entire sales team can earn exceptional bonus/commission by offering products that customers want and need - such as smartphones, tablets, DirecTV, and the like!

Required Qualities
- HS Diploma
- 1 years’ experience in the Telecom Industry
- Familiarity with wireless terminology preferred
- 1 Years Retail Sales Experience
- 1 Years Retail Management Experience
- Maintaining Store Quality Metrics
- Strong time management skills
- Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Training experience highly preferred
- Communicates Powerfully and Prolifically
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
Preferred Qualities
- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (or equivalent experience)
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat and stretch for purposes of inventory and stocking
- Requirement to stand for long periods of time in order to provide the best customer service (unless accommodations are required/requested for an employee under the ADA)
