Job Description
We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the confectionery industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Technical Sales Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:
1) Communicate with customers to determine product and project needs
2) Collaborate with the Research and Development Scientists to customize products that quickly meet the customers’ needs
3) Manage project work through customer relationship management software
4) Initiate early project development pricing requests and communicate pricing to customers
5) Communicate directly with the company's Operations, Procurement, Research and Development and Quality departments regarding projects, applications, specifications and manufacturing issues
6) Provide customers with technical support and assistance regarding the use of coatings
7) Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers through cross-functional contacts
8) Lead or assist with external technical issues at customer facilities and co-manufacturers
9) Provide front line support or leadership to oversee, prepare and present technical support as well as customer presentations that cover topics from introductions to innovation to technical training
10) Support accounts lead in commercial meetings with the Procurement Team to negotiate and manage pricing, contracts and orders
11) Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety and quality policies and procedures
12) Maintain regular attendance at work
13) Perform other duties may be assigned
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the confectionery industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in sales management
