Now Hiring - Retail Sales Floral Sales Associate in Minneapolis, MN

The Sales Specialist will act as a liaison, provide product/services information, and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage all front-end customer service including of incoming calls, emails, and in-person customer visits
• Enter customer orders, confirm orders, assure quality of product for delivery is met within shipping deadlines and release/enter all web orders prior to end of day (2PM weekdays, Noon weekends)
• Monitor and meet all cutoff and specialty deadlines
• Invoice customers with accurate pricing as instructed by management and buyers
• Notify customer of any problems with order fulfillment prior to shipment leaving the building and have suitable substitution in mind before communicating with the customer, prior to cutoff deadline
• Resolve customer service problems and escalate to management when appropriate
• Provide information to customer on new and current products and anticipate future needs
• Update customer profiles, notes, and records and communicate financial concerns to credit manager, as needed
• Submit special reports as required regarding activity of accounts
• Communicate with buyers at least 14 days prior to needing special orders
• Return phone calls immediately and respond to all emails within 1 hour
• Pull and pack orders only when instructed by management
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to do basic math
• Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, customers, and outside contacts
• Ability to work flexible shift hours
• Valid Driver’s License preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to recognize priorities and use time efficiently

Physical Requirements:

• Full color vision
• Ability to perform continuous physical effort up to eight to ten hours, including frequent bending, walking, standing, overhead lifting (40+lbs) and floor to waist lifting (50+lbs)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
