Reporting to the CEO/COO, the Director of Business Development is responsible for directing the development and continuous refinement of the hospital’s business development plan. The selected candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of referral strategies, strategic planning, marketing, external communications and customer service. This individual will manage a team of Community Liaisons who are responsible for developing relationships and generating referrals with professionals such as physicians, therapists, hospital emergency departments, crisis teams and outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities include:

· Developing and executing marketing plans and programs to ensure the growth and

expansion of the organization's services.

· Working collaboratively with external entities such as managed care companies, government agencies, and accreditation organizations.

· Maintaining relationships and securing competitive information on products and services in order to maintain and develop market share.

· Developing and implementing communication strategies, plans, and materials consistent with the organization's marketing image.

· Consulting with hospital leadership and management team in order to maintain a consistent public image.

· Directing publicity releases and developing social media content and strategies consistent with public relations objectives.

· Representing the organization at public events and in other settings.

· Refining the organization's strategic business development efforts.

· Conducting market research, analysis, and reporting activities relevant to the organization's

· mission, philosophy, and goals.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health area, business administration, marketing or related field is required; master’s degree preferred.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare marketing, community development, public relations, and/or business development.

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.

· Must have basic proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and desktop publishing.

· Experience in development and evaluating marketing campaigns required.

· Social media experience strongly preferred.

· Contract experience preferred.

· Knowledge of local healthcare market preferred.

· Experience in a hospital or behavioral healthcare setting preferred.

Aurora Charter Oak Hospital has been delivering behavioral health treatment services since 1941. We are located on 10 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds in Covina, California. Covina is about 22 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in the San Gabriel Valley, close to 10, 60 and 210 FWY.

Pay: $78,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
