A manager among the Creative Account Management team, and a subject matter expert for strategic communications within the company. Develops and grows internal and external client relationships on specific identified accounts. Leads the creative team on medium to large sized projects. Oversees junior level employees. Manages creative budgets.
Primary Responsibilities
50% Creative Project Management
- Collaborates with creative team to develop and execute marketing strategy for accounts by gathering details related to client's challenges and needs and reviewing developed creative to ensure it’s on brief.
- Maintains ongoing relationships with internal and external client contacts to assist through the development and execution of creative campaigns.
- Collaborates with the Client Success team to ensure the creative and communications aspects of day-to-day operations are occurring as intended and agreed upon.
- Engages with the Behavioral & Decision Sciences team to identify effectiveness of our creative solutions and/or relevant data insights then helps translate them into actionable recommendations for the creative team and clients.
- Responsible for ensuring creative and communications deliverables are on-time and on-budget.
25% Account & Creative Strategy
- Works closely with Sales, Client Success, Solution Design and Creative Directors to develop creative solutions.
- Day-to-day client contact who works closely with client to not only ensure program communication objectives are executed but also help identify the appropriate objectives.
- Works closely with Client Success and Solution Design Team to identify opportunities to engage and grow creative and communications support for our clients.
- Often owns development of strategic communication plans in partnership with Creative Directors and with input from Client Success.
- May participate in client reviews in coordination with Client Success.
25% Team Leadership
- Acts as a team leader for the Creative Account Management team.
- Oversees junior level staff, developing career path and responsible for professional growth.
- Helps lead weekly team meetings and optimizes team processes as needed.
- Helps ensure Creative Account Management team is developing and advancing its collective skillset through skill share presentations, process training and encouraging self-led industry education.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or business preferred or equivalent work experience.
2. Ability to lead both internal teams and guide client teams. Proven success in mentoring and supervising junior staff.
3. Experience with creative project management, consistently delivering on time and within budget.
4. Strong relationship building skills, navigating both internal and client relationships with empathy, advocating for both the brand or program and the agency.
5. Willingness to seek opportunities for growth and new business for the agency.
6. Active listening skills and the ability to draw useful feedback from internal and client teams.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An ego-free, collaborative approach to project management.
