BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL
Quantum Technology Sciences, Inc., a subsidiary of Geospace Technologies (NASDAQ: GEOS), is seeking to hire a Federal Business Development Professional for our Security and Surveillance products. An immediate opening is available for an experienced professional with a strong background in the Federal security and surveillance industry.
DESCRIPTION:
A Business Development Professional identifies, plans, pursues and manages business development initiatives of Quantum to meet and exceed all corporate and customer expectations and targets.
- Provide strategic and tactical business development, sales, and product management leadership for the company's products and services.
- Grow Federal, domestic, and international market share to meet goals for profitable sales growth.
- Develop new customer relationships in all markets as well as maintain and expand current customer relationships and sales.
- In coordination with the company leadership team, lead in the preparation and execution of the Company’s annual and multi-year planning.
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans.
- Develop and/or contribute input to proposal and marketing materials.
- Continually update and track all bookings and sales forecasts.
- Contribute in a team fashion on special projects relating to the overall growth of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum BS degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of marketing and sales experience in progressively more responsible roles, including sales/marketing function management in a high technology or engineering company.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on marketing/sales leadership with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in a technical manufacturing service environment with responsibility for both the sales and marketing function.
- A thorough understanding of strategic selling of complex systems.
- Technical and business knowledge and experience in the Federal and Commercial security and surveillance industry is required.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical engineering, assembly, fabrication, or related specifications, terminology, and process.
- Experience with selling products through OEMs, resellers, and other distribution channels.
- Experience implementing and utilizing CRM systems.
- Product and Industry knowledge includes: Electronic Security, physical Intrusion Detection systems, Perimeter security, Oil and Gas, DoD, and Large System Integrators.
- US Citizenship is required.
