Technical Sales Engineer

Using knowledge of product operating principles and scientific processes that make products work within customer specific applications, work with customers to determine and meet their needs for complex scientific and technological products and services, including but not limited to Positioning Systems, Nexus Narrowband and Broadband, ProfiDat, ProfiDat Compact, PowerGuard, and LJU power and data supply products. Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements and collaborate with sales teams to communicate customer requirements and provide support. Specialize in technologically advanced products and applications of same, using technical knowledge and skills to explain benefits of products and services to potential customers. Develop sales territory, manage existing customer accounts, and develop new prospects. Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services and assist customers with technical issues with installed equipment. Recommend new product development requirements and ideas as well as potential enhancements to existing product lines. Document customer activity and business transactions. Support and collaborate with sales and marketing, including annual sales budget and forecasts, and attend trade shows. Maintain and enhance knowledge of industry trends and latest product-line developments and legacy, existing, and emerging technologies. Review technical publications, articles, and abstracts on industry developments.

Full-time with extensive travel (80%) throughout assigned territory/customers required. Remote employment within the US available. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $102,750. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or in an area of science involving mobile electrification and data transfer systems for industrial machinery with two years of project management or engineering-related sales experience that includes previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales and with CRM systems and proficiency in MS Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
