• Issues new and renewal policies
  • Corresponds with producer, broker, TPA, and/or underwriter to obtain information required for policy issuance
  • Balances customer service, stop loss carrier requirements, and challenges associated with policy issuance
  • Prepares and processes applications for policy issue
  • Prepares and processes endorsements for changes to policy
  • Validates that all policy information is accurate and up to date prior to issuing policies
  • Processes early terminations
• Serves as division specialist for Plan Document reviews, providing oversight to other A&H staff in this area and taking a lead in the reviews & approvals of Plan Documents and amendments
• Maintains all relevant electronic files, records, and databases
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience with insurance plan document or policy language, or other experience working with and analyzing contract language
• High School diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferred but not required

• Ability to analyze plan document, policy or contract language for approval based on A&H division template and guidelines
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications
