Hospitality Manager

Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards, a fine wine producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the Sta. Rita Hills, is looking for an experienced DTC manager to lead its sales team in its tasting room and ranch house venues located in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding luxury branding and sales.
• Building a strong sales team through sales initiatives, motivational techniques and overall leadership.
• Hiring, training, motivating and managing the tasting room and ranch sales team.
• Developing new guest programs for visitors in both our tasting room and our ranch location.
• Overseeing daily operations of the tasting room and ranch, including scheduling, reservations, inventory control, cash flow, etc.
• Making sure all SOP’s are being followed and making changes as needed.
• Taking responsibility for all hospitality operations.
• Cultivating relationships with Santa Barbara & Santa Ynez hotels and Destination Management Companies to drive patrons to our tasting room and ranch house.
• In collaboration with the Wine Club Manager, developing new ideas for expanding the winery’s wine club membership.
• Oversee all internal and outside events at both the tasting room and ranch locations.
• Occasionally hosting private tastings and experiences on our estate, which includes hikes in varied terrain.
• Representing the winery in the larger community and building outreach programs to drive traffic.

Requirements:

• 3+ years managing a sales team in a winery or food & beverage environment.
• Wine knowledgeable. Certifications desired but not required.
• Strong sales skills demonstrated in past roles.
• Responsible, reliable and flexible, able to adjust to an ever-evolving retail environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry 45-lb cases of wine repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Must be able to work while standing for several hours in the tasting room or at the ranch house.
• Must be able to walk up to 2 miles in varied terrain through the winery’s ranch and vineyards for ranch tours.

Compensation: $75K - $85K + performance bonus DOE, Premium Healthcare, dental and vision benefits along with a 401k, vacation and sick time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
