The Role:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for supporting the sales team in selling CPI’s training programs and products to targeted organizations. Business Development Representatives provide direct support to the Inside Sales team via outbound call strategies, often orchestrating various aspects of the sales process and facility-based training program logistics.
What You Get To Do Everyday:
- Sell CPI training programs and products, to boost attendance in existing programs.
- Act as customer-facing CPI sales contact in vacant or underdeveloped, assigned territories.
- Contact new leads to discuss client’s training needs and offer solutions.
- Coordinate with decision makers, post-sale, to gather pre-training data, arrange and confirm logistics for facility-based programs and complete all necessary paperwork prior to and after program completion.
- Conduct regularly scheduled follow up calls to existing accounts, problem solving with customers and providing them with current training data to support our mutual goal of training being an ongoing process, thus increasing sales in existing accounts via expansion.
- Manage forecastable pipeline via CRM and timely submits reports.
- Support leadership when asked with active involvement in projects and/or assignments that occur either within the department or cross-departmentally.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have:
- High school Diploma or GED
- Two years or more of sales experience
- Experience working with a CRM and MS Suite of products
- High level customer focus and customer service, both with internal and external customers.
- Capable of managing multiple accounts at one time
- Results driven
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and a member of a multi-function team
- High attention to detail
