Retail Sales Regional Sales Manager - NAPA Tools & Equipment in Phoenix, AZ
The U.S. Automotive Group of Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to develop new customers and expand sales to existing customers at all distribution levels for an assigned sales territory and product lines. This is a unique opportunity to join an aggressive, high-energy sales team. The Regional Sales Manager will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for developing new business, current client retention, and process management while providing the highest level of customer service and support.
Position Performance Measures:
- Monthly sales quota
- Consistent contact and successful relationships with the store, distribution center, and division management
- Expense management
- Addition gaining new business within our NAPA Stores
Responsibilities:
- Implement sales programs and ensure all District Managers and distribution center awareness
- Routinely contact and communicate with the distribution center, divisions, stores, customers
- Ensure product and training classes are held
- Work with the suppliers to resolve any supply issues
- Report required information to General Manager and Division Vice Presidents as needed
- Direct and manage the sales activities of the District Sales Managers
- Provide accurate sales projections and utilize strategic planning to improve sales
- Enforce all company policies
Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent sales/marketing experience
- 5 - 7 years of previous selling experience
- Some previous leadership experience coaching, managing, and developing others
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong personal drive and self-motivation to accomplish sales goals
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide innovative solutions to opportunities and problems
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- In addition, the position requires the following competencies:
- Possess a high sense of urgency and be customer service oriented. Experience with building and developing strong customer relationships. Excellent listener. Empathetic to individuals concerns and direct necessary follow-up actions.

You should have the ability to work and motivate yourself independently while also working with teammates for the greater good of the team and Company.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Work will be conducted in office, warehouse, retail stores, customer site environments
- Frequent periods standing/walking in unairconditioned warehouse facilities and retail stores
- Exposed to vibrations and dust, with noise level at moderate to low decibels
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers, and handle or feel objects
- Other physical tasks required include pushing, reaching, climbing, and stooping
- Local travel, to include overnight travel, may be up to 50% - 75% of time to perform duties
