Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. makers of YellaWood® brand pressure treated pine, has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Associate in Mobile, AL.

This position is responsible for selling corporate products to business and industrial establishments or individuals over the telephone and ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.

• The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional communication, follow-up, and advising customers on product selection, performance, and application to fit their needs.
• Experience and knowledge in building material/building supply industry is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
• Process a high volume of orders and sales data electronically and/or over the phone/email.
• Answer technical questions of prospective customers and advise customers on products that fit their needs.
• Estimate lead time and date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
• Builds and maintains customers relationships.
• Prepares reports of business transactions; Participates in weekly sales department meeting.
• Works with sales, production, and transportation teams to meet customer’s needs.
• Investigates and resolves customer service issues as they may arise.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.

Education and/or Experience :

• A High School Diploma.
• At least two years of related experience is preferred but not required.
• Must have intermediate computer skills, including - MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook email.
