Full description of the position

The Automotive Customer Representative will engage with our customers, field pre-purchase and installation questions, determine the type of solution required and provide guidance accordingly.

Essential Functions

• Fields customer questions and advises customers about products
• Helps identify customer electrical issues or installation questions by questioning the customer to better to understand what best supports customer needs
• Communicates with customers in a timely, friendly, and engaging manner while expertly obtaining necessary vehicle information
• Promote and explain benefits of all American Autowire products. Implement and maintains a service marketing mindset
• Establishes accurate product delivery estimates with customers
• Confirms customer's method of payment and enters payment information in invoicing software
• Notifies team of sales, escalates complex issues requiring leadership support
• Maintains high customer satisfaction standards
• Handles telephone and email inquiries in an efficient and timely manner

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems (hands on experience preferred)
• General automotive technical troubleshooting (vintage American vehicles preferred)
• Customer service experience
• Strong communication skills
• Must have computer proficiency
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical auto school; and four+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret wiring documents, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, blueprints and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
