Its U.S. facility SIKO Products Inc. is responsible for the sales, service and distribution for a wide range of measurement systems for the North American market. SIKO offers one of the most complete lines of high precision industrial measuring instruments and drive technology. SIKO's core competence lies in the development, manufacture and distribution of a range of standard devise and customer specific OEM products.

Job description

SIKO Products Inc. is seeking a talented, self-motivated Sales Engineer to promote and market our products.
A key aspect of this role is having a thorough understanding of the customer application and the ability to provide technical guidance to select the best-fitting solution from our broad product portfolio. As a sales engineer, you will present and communicate the benefits of our products to the existing customer base and generate new sales leads on exhibitions and by researching new market opportunities. Engage in marketing and product development activities with the teams from headquarter in Germany to adapt initiatives to the US market.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our customers to define their applications and determine which of our products best suits their needs.
  • Build customer awareness through participation on trade shows and other field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Work on a wide variety of projects with a wide range of functional groups
  • Regular travel throughout sales territory including Canada
  • Investigate and follow-up on leads and prospects
  • Analyze and establish new markets and customers to grow the sales
  • Keep abreast of competition’s activities and report them to headquarters
  • Identify new customer requirements and communicate to overseas Product Management.

Qualification

  • Successfully completed engineering degree or technician training, ideally related to automation technology, industrial electronics or mechatronics
  • Several years of sales and/or product management experience
  • High communication skills with a healthy assertiveness and negotiation skills
  • Strong ability to generate and present technical information
  • Analytical skills and drive to understand customer business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and ethical conduct

  • Salary: Base + Performance Bonus
